What is this calculator for?

The productivity calculator estimates how long a crew will take to complete a defined quantity of work based on their output rate. Use it for scheduling, labour planning, and progress tracking on construction activities like paving, forming, placing concrete, or earthworks.

How to use it

  • Enter the total quantity of work and select the unit
  • Enter your crew size — number of workers on the activity
  • Enter the output per person per hour based on historical data or standards
  • Results show total days, daily output, and total person-hours for labour costing

Typical output rates (per person/hr)

Hand excavation: 0.5–1.5 m³
Concrete forming: 3–6 m²
Rebar placing: 50–100 kg
Hand compaction: 20–40 m²
Pipe laying (small): 5–10 m
Asphalt raking: 15–25 m²
