1. What We Collect
Summit Tools collects only what it needs to run the service:
- Account email — the address you use to sign in with a magic link
- Project data — the inputs, calculations, reports, QC samples, and settings you save to your account
- Photos and voice notes — evidence files you attach to saved reports
- Usage analytics — anonymized, aggregated data through Google Analytics (pages visited, general location, device type)
2. Payment Data
Summit Pro payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to payment processing, and we only receive confirmation that your subscription is active.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To sign you in and keep your saved projects available across devices
- To save, load, and export the reports and calculations you create
- To send sign-in links and important service emails
- To understand how the site is used and improve it
4. Where Your Data Lives
Your project data and evidence files are stored with Cloudflare, the company that hosts summittools.ai. Analytics data is processed by Google Analytics. Transactional emails are sent through a third-party email provider. We only share data with these service providers to the extent needed to operate the site.
5. What We Never Do
- We never sell your personal data
- We never show third-party ads
- We never share your project data, photos, or voice notes with anyone
6. Your Choices
- Free accounts can save up to 3 projects; Summit Pro removes that limit
- Sign out at any time from the account menu
- Delete or export your data by emailing hello@summittools.ai — we'll handle it promptly
- Cancel Summit Pro anytime; you keep access to saved projects
7. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time, and we'll remove your projects, reports, and evidence files.
8. Children
Summit Tools is a professional construction tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date above. Significant changes may also be announced through the site.
